Mexican singer and actor Eduardo Capetillo is part of a bullfighting dynasty.  His show business career began when he won the children’s singing competition Juguemos a Cantar.  In 1985 he joined the Mexican pop group Timbiriche which would launch the singing careers of Paulina Rubio, Diego Schoening, Erick Rubín, Thalía and Bibi Gaytán, among others.

He gained worldwide fame in 1991 with the soundtrack to the teen telenovela Alcanzar una Estrella, for which he won an award for best male breakthrough performance.  That same year he released his album Dame una Noche and subsequently returned to acting and singing in the telenovela Baila Conmigo (1992), set in the late 1950s and starring Bibi Gaytán and Paulina Rubio.

His first role as an actor had been in 1986 in the telenovela Martín Gartuza.  He has since acted in a number of other telenovelas including Marimar (1994), for which he won a TVyNovelas award for Best Lead Actor, Canción de Amor (1996), Camila (1999) with Bibi Gaytán, and El Secreto (2001).  His talent as an actor led to his starring in series such as Peregrina, Amy, la Niña de la Mochila Azul, Fuego en la Sangre, Pecadora (shot in Miami), and Soy tu Dueña in 2010.

In December 2010, he joined Azteca America with his wife Bibi Gaytán.

In 2011 he was the director of the reality show La Academia 2011.

Eduardo Capetillo is back in the soap opera with La Otra Cara del Alma , he plays  the roll of  Roberto Manteagudo  a handsome millionaire  , that falls in love  with  Alma ( Gaby Spanic) . Their love will be the lead on this story.
