What differentiates TV Azteca from Azteca?

While Azteca is owned by TV Azteca, it operates, like many of the Grupo Salinas business units, with it own corporate leadership, goal and initiatives. Azteca airs programming from TV Azteca's networks (Azteca 7, Azteca 13 and Proyecto 40) and supplements its programming slate with licensed and originally produced shows.

Why can't Azteca 13 or Azteca 7 air in the U.S.?

The programming on Azteca differs from TV Azteca's programming. TV Azteca in Mexico is carried exclusively on Direct TV Mas Channel 442 and airs many of these programs at the same time in the U.S. as they air in Mexico.

What is the DTV conversion and how will it affect Azteca?

Digital Television (DTV) is an advanced broadcasting technology that will transform your television viewing experience. Since February 17, 2009, all full-power broadcast television stations in the United States stop broadcasting on analog airwaves and begin broadcasting only in digital. Digital broadcasting allows stations to offer improved picture and sound quality and additional channels DTV enables broadcasters to offer television with better picture and sound quality. As long as you convert your TV, the conversion will have not an effect on your ability to view Azteca.
